  2. Cool man. If it takes a lactating, somnambulistic bus and it’s naked, fetishistic lead singer to stop a war, I’m totally up for it aye.

And I do love the idea of a sleepwalking bus. Yes please!

  4. If I can recall correctly, they were thinking of introducing txt language into written examinations for NCEA…

  5. WTFB: What a find that Ortolan Bunting article was. It’s the sort of information that makes you sit back and once again re-assess what the fuck is up with humans.

Dopeman: Hey, I think you’re right about that! Supposedly txt language was acceptable in contexts where spelling, grammar etc. were not being tested and the meaning was still clear. Well, fck tht.

  7. “After several surgeries and intensive training, the cyborg cat was ready for its first field test. The CIA drove the cat to a Soviet compound on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, D.C., and let him out of a parked van across the street. The cat ambled into the road, and was struck by a taxi almost immediately. Five years of effort and over $15 million in spending were reduced to roadkill in an instant. Shorty after its demise a CIA operative returned to the accident site and put the cat’s remains into a container to prevent the Soviets from getting their paws on the sensitive and expensive listening devices.”

  8. “The tail was used as an antenna.” Nice work, beating me to a DI link like that. I shall have to redouble my efforts.

  9. You need to have a job with lots of downtime.

    Anyway:

“The department in Canada responsible for war planning had an annual budget of just $1,200. During the clandestine information-gathering for Defense Scheme Number One, staff members of the department actually entered the United States to take photographs and to procure free maps at gas stations.”

  10. But one of the most amazing finds is this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Mikhailovich_Prokudin-Gorskii
Check out the Emir of Bukhara and the Monastery of St. Nilus. They’re the among the most intense, rich, psychedelic images I’ve ever seen.

Maybe a new place for Mr. Barbecue to post links is necessary?

  13. Dude! You are posting into my blog more than I am. I am shamed. Not into action, though. Just into shame.

I was busy stone grilling this evening I’m afraid. Thursday looks grim, and Friday looks b’Drunken. Meet you here on Saturday.

  15. Ah yes, I remember watching that Imagine the Tenth Dimension thing a while ago. Freakin’ cool, I might have posted it to Webmonkey. I sort of knew what they were talking about from my physics background, but they went plenty beyond that. I love that kind of thing as a brain exercise.

That last DI article, I’ve also seen before (I’m getting good at this internet thing!) Freakin’ cool, though. Silo home was new to me. Pretty wicked, but reminds me too much of a horror movie. I downloaded Monastery of St. Nilus for wallpaper reasons.
